DigitalDinos sells products on this website and very
rarely eBay. Our inventory is brought up-to-date every
weekend. If you don't see what you're looking for in
these sections, chances are excellent we don't have
it in stock; but, you can still send us an email
anyway to check! :)
Please feel free to browse about our wares here on our
website and make use of the classic computer information we have
posted. If you find yourself at one of the shows we attend, please drop by
and introduce yourself. But above all, enjoy collecting and experiencing the
classic computing on our sites and co-sponsored events, even if you don't buy a
thing! :)

Terms of Sale
When you place a bid on DigitalDinos' item up for sale, you are agreeing to all
of DigitalDinos' terms of sale in addition to those of eBay. (So, you might as well read
all of the following and eBay's terms if you haven't already.) Unless
specifically stated and modified in the ad for the item you are bidding on,
all items that DigitalDinos has on eBay will follow the following terms of
sale!
Though you should read all of the terms of sale very carefully, we've created an index for you to use to get to important sections:

Unless countered by wording in the ad for the auction, all
items offered for sale are "as-is" with no warranties either written
or implied and no refunds are given.
This policy is due to the fact that almost all of DigitalDinos' classic
computer wares are anywhere between 10 to 25 years old. Just because the
item worked the last time we plugged it to test it before the auction in does
not mean that it will work for you when you plug it in. We urge you to
be an informed bidder. Before you bid: ask questions, examine the
pictures, request more detailed pictures.
If you are uncomfortable with this, please do not bid!

At the end of the auction, eBay will automatically send you and DigitalDinos
a notice stating the auction is closed and that you have won. After that,
generally, the following will happen:
1) DigitalDinos will send you an email up to 3 days later one asking
for your address and shipping preferences.
2) You will respond with an email containing your shipping address and
shipping preference.
3) DigitalDinos will respond to your email by emailing you an invoice.
The invoice will contain instructions on how to pay. Payment must be received by DigitalDinos no later than 10 (ten) days after
the invoice is issued.
4) When your payment arrives, you will receive email from us thanking you.
5) DigitalDinos will deposit your payment and your item will be packed
then shipped. (See "Packing,
Shipping, and Handling" below.)
6) When your item ships, you will receive another email confirming the
item has been shipped. (If you have problems receiving your item,
contact DigitalDinos quickly; DigitalDinos is not required to keep information on
sales longer than 90 days after the item ships!) Positive feedback will be posted for you at this point.
7) You might want to send DigitalDinos an email saying the item has
arrived safely. :)
If you'd like to speed things up a bit, you can send DigitalDinos an email
at the close of the auction with answers to the following questions:
For successful bidders with a
United States delivery address:
1.) What is your name and shipping address?
2.) How would you like your item(s) shipped? (You must choose
between USPS and UPS. If you choose USPS, please select either
Overnight, Priority, or Parcel Post. If you choose UPS, please
select either Ground, Orange, Blue, or Red.)
3.) Would you like your item(s) to be insured during shipment and for
how much? (All UPS shipments are automatically insured for up to $100.)
For successful bidders without
a United States delivery address:
1.) What is your name and shipping address?
2.) How would you like your item shipped? (You must choose
between USPS and UPS. If you choose USPS, please select either
Global Priority, Airmail, or Surface Mail. If you choose UPS,
please select either Expedited, Express, or Ground. Please note that UPS is going to
be very expensive.)
3.) Would you like your item(s) to be insured during shipment and for
how much?
DigitalDinos will send you back an email with the total, item(s) and
shipping. (As per step 3 above.) We expect payment from you within 10
(ten) days.
DigitalDinos' eBay Terms of Sale Index.
By bidding on this item, you are entering into a legally binding agreement.
Should you hold the winning bid at the end of this auction, you are obligated
to complete this transaction at the closing price indicated plus
any packaging and shipping fees. (See "Packing,
Shipping, and Handling" below.)
Payment is expected up front and in full, before the item(s) are shipped to you.
No credit is ever given or extended!
Payment is only accepted in United States of America currency, also know as "U. S.
Dollars" or USD for short.
Payment must be received by us no later than 10 (ten) days after
the final email we exchange working out the payment and shipping arrangements. United
States and Canadian customers are free to use First Class mail for
payments. (You might want to insure and register the payment if it is
especially large.) All other customers from foreign lands must
send payments by airmail. (Sorry, but we recently had to wait
12 weeks for surface mail from Italy. One bad apple...)
We will check for payments to arrive at the P.O. Box at least twice during the week. All packing is done every Friday night for shipment during the next week.
On Saturday, all paid orders shipping USPS are shipped. On Tuesday, all paid orders shipping UPS are shipped. Your payment must arrive and clear DigitalDinos'
bank's processing by Friday at 5:00 PM E.S.T. to be sent in the current shipping cycle. Electronic payments clear practically overnight. All other types of
payment will require 3 to 5 business days to clear.
DigitalDinos' eBay Terms of Sale Index.
The following methods of payment are not accepted:
- Credit Cards
- CODs
- Personal Checks
- Business Checks
DigitalDinos' eBay Terms of Sale Index.
You have these methods through which to make payment, please use whichever
you prefer:
For clients in the United States of America who are using money orders and
cashiers' checks, only United States Postal Service money orders will be
accepted as immediate payment in full. All other money orders and
cashiers' checks will have to be deposited and clear the bank before the items
are shipped, typically 3 - 5 business days.
Overseas customers must pay by a guaranteed method of payment. May we
suggest using the folks at Western Union Auction Payments
and PayPal if you are in Canada or the
U.K.; others
doing business with us have had very good luck with them.
For those of you tempted to send cash through the mail, our advice is, "Don't
do it." You can get your money back if a cashiers' check or
money order is lost in the mail. You will not get your cash back
if it gets lost!

First things first. Sorry, but, DigitalDinos is a very, very
part-time operation who's owner's day job with has a work schedule that barely allows
for a home
life and it certainly does not
permit in-person pick-up or delivery of items. (If you work in and with
computer technology, you understand.) So, don't ask to drop by or have
me deliver your item(s).
There are three extra charges that typically appear in eBay auctions:
Packing, Shipping, and Handling. Over the years, almost all of the very
few disagreements we have had with winning bidders concern these
charges that come after the auction is over as the winning bidder
quibbles over details of these charges that are clearly spelled out in the ad
as his responsibility to pay. So, let's try to nip this potential
disagreement right here and now. (We apologize in advance if
the following wording reads mildly tedious, overly detailed, and slightly
arrogant. It sure seems so to us, and we wrote it!
Maybe we've been quibbled to death by a few bad apples..?..)

Packing is the material - boxes, foam peanuts, wrapping paper, bubble wrap,
and so on -
used to pack the item in for shipping. There is a reasonable
charge for this.
DigitalDinos keeps some packing materials on hand; and where possible, we
will try to pack your order for two reasons. First, it
saves you money; and, we appreciate this just as much as you do. Second, any box, foam
peanuts, bubble wrap, wrapping paper, and the like we can reuse and recycle to
keep out of the local dump is a good thing. (We love our
planet. It's the only one we have. Please recycle packing
material.) But remember, nobody on the DigitalDinos staff is a professional packer.
We will use whatever materials we have on hand and there
are no guarantees about how sufficient the packing is.
Occasionally, an item will need to be professionally packaged because we do not have packing material for it.
This fact will always be stated explicitly in the ad under the heading "Packing."
Professional packing is always
handled by our local packing and shipping store No exceptions. We will always charge the exact amount
the packing and shipping store charges
us;
and if you like, we will send you a scan of the receipt as proof.
(Be aware that most of the large items we have for auction will need
to be professionally packed requiring large, expensive boxes and lots of
bubble wrap. Be prepared to pay $20 - $50 extra!)
You always have the option of having your item professionally packed by our
local packing and shipping store - at your expense, of course.
There is one, major exception to an ad listed with "free
packing." Look and see if we intend to ship the item
United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail. If we are,
that probably means we have a free box from USPS for Priority
Mail service that happens to fit the item. If you chose to ship with
another carrier or are outside the United States and its possessions, we may not have a free box which means you will have to pay for a box!
DigitalDinos' eBay Terms of Sale Index.
Shipping is the amount the delivery service - United States Postal Service,
UPS, Federal Express, and so on - charges DigitalDinos to accept, ship, and
deliver the item to you. We make an honest effort only pass on the exact
amount that they charge us for shipping. There are no "deals"
in shipping fees for us, so don't ask for them from us.
Remember:
1. DigitalDinos does not deliver items.
2. You cannot pickup items from DigitalDinos.
If you want to use a carrier other than USPS or United Parcel Service
(UPS), you have to work out those details with DigitalDinos beforehand and at
our convenience! (Shipping requests that do not use USPS or UPS are -
almost always - handled by packing and shipping store and that will
incur extra cost to you.)
At least twice a week, we will check for payments to arrive at the P.O. Box at least twice during the week. All packing is done every Friday night for shipment during the next week's
shipping cycle.

If you are going to have the item delivered to an address within the US and
its possessions, you have the choice of having the item shipped to you via
USPS or UPS.
We strongly urge United States clients to purchase shipping insurance for
your items. Items shipped via UPS are automatically insured for up to $100
USD. Items shipped via USPS are not
automatically insured for any amount.
We very much prefer to use USPS rather than UPS; and in some cases in
the ad, we will identify which carrier we will be using.
Typically the only time we will recommend in the ad using UPS is if
the item is large and heavy because UPS tends to be a bit less expensive than
USPS in this case.
Whenever we send items in the United States and its possessions
with USPS, we really, really prefer to ship using Priority
Mail, with Delivery Confirmation. If you want to go the cheap route and
forgo Priority Mail, let us tell you that the difference in
shipping costs on packages less than three pounds between Priority Mail and
Third Class (a.k.a. Parcel Post) is barely a few nickels or dimes.
(After 13 ounces, there isn't a First Class mail category.) The time it
takes between Third Class and Priority Mail can be substantial. We have had Third Class mail take 17
days to go 200 miles. So, we don't recommend using it except
for large packages and books and even then only with Delivery Confirmation.
If you purchase books (at least eight pages), film (16 mm or narrower),
printed music, printed test materials, sound recordings, play scripts, printed
educational charts, loose-leaf pages and binders consisting of medical
information, or computer-readable media from DigitalDinos, you can really get
cheap and go with Media Mail and Delivery Confirmation. One note of
caution; a few clients have aged significantly waiting for Media Mail packages
to arrive.
If you decide to get really, really cheap and not spend the extra 40 to 60
cents for USPS' Delivery Confirmation service, you do so at
your own risk and peril. DigitalDinos will not
assist you to track down a lost package!
SPECIAL NOTE!! Delivery Confirmation is not available for:
APO/FPO destinations, U.S. territories, possessions, and freely-associated
states in the Domestic Mail
Manual G011 (except for Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands, to which
service is available). The only way you can get DigitalDinos to assist you in
tracking a lost package in this specific case is to insure your package!
Service men and women have also aged significantly waiting for
APO/FPO packages
to arrive. (There is nothing USPS can do about the wait.)
If you prefer, DigitalDinos can also ship UPS for you.
Typically if the item is large and heavy and you are located in the
"Lower 48" of the United States, it is to your slight advantage to
ship UPS rather that USPS.
If you want an estimate on shipping cost, you should visit http://www.usps.com/
or http://www.ups.com/ and type in a weight,
approximate package dimensions, and so on. (Occasionally, you can glean
those from the ad; but usually, you will have to email
us for them.)
The package will be shipped from Mentor,
Ohio, 44060. For UPS, you
will have to enter in that the package is for one time pickup. (Once
again, this is a very, very part-time business. DigitalDinos does not have UPS dropping by
on a regular basis, sorry.)

Very handy. Answers a lot of questions.

If you are outside of the US and it's possessions, the most economical way
to ship is USPS. The quickest is airmail and is usually delivered in 4
to 7 days. The cheapest is surface mail which can takes from 21 to 90
days. You can have the item shipped through UPS as well, but it almost
always costs quite a bit more than USPS.
DigitalDinos will not help
overseas bidders to track down a lost package that does not have shipping insurance,
tracking, or both! Overseas bidders should also strongly consider
shipping insurance and tracking options, if available. Note that not all of these
are possible. Check with http://www.usps.com/
or http://www.ups.com/ ahead of time.
Know your risks in shipping from the States to you!
The most common question overseas bidders ask is if we will ship to a specific country. If USPS or UPS
delivers there, yes, we will; no problem. However, verifying the
legality of the item or items we are shipping to you is your responsibility.
USPS and UPS will force us fill out customs forms accurately
describing the item(s) within the box. If the item(s) is stopped at the
border or sent back to us, you will not
none of your money will be refunded. (We have a strict, "No
Refunds. No Returns." policy.)
Import duties, fees, taxes, inspection services, and the like are your
responsibility as well.
If you want an estimate on shipping cost, you should visit http://ircalc.usps.gov/

DigitalDinos charges only the exact packing and shipping costs.
Many other eBay sellers charge a "handling fee" which is nothing
more than an extra profit center for them. We do not
charge a "handling fee;" and as bidders ourselves sometimes, we despise sellers
who charge such and make it a habit to not bid on their auctions.

DigitalDinos must collect Ohio Sales Tax under certain conditions.
If any outside packing services are purchased from Mailboxes, Etc., you
will be taxed on those only once by the local packing and shipping store. Delivery service from UPS has a tax
built into the cost which in unavoidable and will be passed along to
everyone. USPS does not collect taxes on postage and we are not
required to tax postage used on your behalf.

DigitalDinos is classified as a "Delivery Only" vendor. If
you are a resident of the State of Ohio, you will be charged sales tax on the
ending price of the auction item depending on the county in which you
live, not the city. By paying this sales tax, you do not have to pay any
Use Tax that is reported on your Income Tax form for items purchased over the
Internet.

It's remarkably, astoundingly easy get a positive feedback point from DigitalDinos
on eBay. Just follow this simple, three-step process:
1. Pay exactly what is owed.
2. Pay as requested.
3. Pay on time.
Giving us any grief or aggravation earns you at least a
neutral feedback point.
Default on any of the three and you'll get at least a neutral and most probably a
negative feedback point.
If you retract your bid without what we decide is a justifiable
reason or default on your obligation to purchase this item, negative feedback
will be recorded and eBay will be notified.
Unlike other eBay traders who wait an eternity to do so, DigitalDinos posts
feedback points for you once payment is received, accepted, and the item has
shipped. We feel that you deserve it for trusting us,
paying promptly, and on time. You are not required to give us feedback in return, but it would be a nice gesture on your part.

The phone number you can use to reach DigitalDinos is: 440-339-8538.
Feel free to call anytime; just, don't expect a person to answer. This
is a voice mail system only. Leave a detailed message with: your
name, your email address (spell it out, slowly, twice), your phone
number (repeat it at least once, slowly), your eBay ID, the item
or items you have won or are interested in (auction numbers are helpful but
not required,) your question(s), and at least two days and times during the

Not directly. In order to pay by credit card, you must use Western Union Auction Payments. We simply don't
have the volume to absorb the fees that accepting credit cards directly would bring.
PayPal payments made
by using a credit card will be denied.

Generally yes, however only account transfers of cash and items must be shipped to a confirmed address
in the U.S.A., Canada, and U.K. (Take this restriction up with
PayPal,
not us. Thanks! :) We do not accept credit card payments through
PayPal;
without exception all credit card payments will
be rejected!. Because of the incoming transaction limit
of $500 per month on the PayPal account, we will not be able to accept a
PayPal payment. If an auction is restricted to no
PayPal payment, it
will be noted on the auction and you will have to pay by an alternate
method.
PayPal payments
made by using credit card will be denied.

Check all the normal things first. Does you email program work?
Does it say the message was sent? Did the email you sent DigitalDinos
have the correct address? (sales@digitaldinos.com)
Did the email bounce back to you and you forget to resend it? Have you set your email program's spam filter to allow us to send you email? (A very common problem
nowadays...)
If everything is fine, remember... DigitalDinos' owner doesn't
do this for a living. Emails from DigitalDinos may not turn around
especially fast.
So, that having been said, we will try to answer all emails
within 3 days - usually sooner. Has it been three days yet? If it
hasn't, please, sit tight and wait three full days, 72 hours.
If it has been three days and there has been no reply, there is a problem. Somewhere in the electronic ether your message to us has been lost, bounced, garbled, and
destroyed. Send it again and closely monitor the situation. If we still have not written back to you 5 days after the second email call us at 440-339-8538 or
send us a post card. We're
probably, desperately trying to do the same thing because we want
your items out of our stockroom and into your basement! :)

DigitalDinos typically sends out an email contacting you within 3 days of
the auction's close. If you'd like to speed things up a bit, you can
send us an email with answers to the following questions.
If you choose UPS, please
select either Expedited or Express. Please note that UPS is going to
be very expensive.)
3.) Would you like your item(s) to be insured during shipment and for
how much?

shipping. We expect to have payment from you within 10 days.

If USPS or UPS goes there, yes, we
will; no problem. However, we have no idea if the item(s) we are shipping to you is legal there. The legalities
of the item(s) within your country is your responsibility, not ours.
USPS and UPS will force us fill out customs forms accurately
describing the item(s) within the box. If the item(s) is stopped at the
border or sent back to us, you will not
get any of your money back from us.
Import duties, fees, taxes, inspection services, and the like are your
responsibility as well.

Unless countered by wording in the ad for the auction, all
items offered for sale are "as-is" with no warranties either written
or implied with no refunds given.
Please check the ad for the auction item. It will contain any
warranties that may have been offered. If there was a warranty offered,
please contact us at sales@digitaldinos.com.
At our option, we will either: replace the item, repair the item, refund
the item's auction price and the exact cost of shipping it back to us using
our choice of shipping methods, or refuse to take any action. You must
claim a warranty action within 3 calendar days of the item arriving at its
destination.
Should DigitalDinos go out of business, all warranties issued are null and
void.

Don't do it! The price the auction ends on is the payment
demanded. There is no negotiation after the auction is over. If
you do not pay the price the auction ended at including packing, shipping, and
tax (if applicable), you will be reported to eBay as a non-paying
bidder. And that kind of label is bad.

Bidder polices.

We've been trading here and there on the Internet since 1986 when all there
were were newsgroups and you had to keep a copy of "Unix in a
Nutshell" by your side at all times. (Ah... Those were
the days...) DigitalDinos' owner has been a member of eBay since May 5, 1998
under his personal eBay id, and since October 22, 2001 for DigitalDinos.
DigitalDinos is no "Johnny Come Lately" to this; so, trade with
confidence. :)

DigitalDinos is an overgrown offshoot of disposing of duplicates and
unwanted items in the owner's cool, classic computer collection. (Funny
how lots of businesses get started out of hobbies, huh?) DigitalDinos is
its own business entity on the
web and here on eBay. DigitalDinos operates strictly part-time, 5 to 10
hours per week, more for the owner's pleasure and advancing the hobby than as a
serious business interest. (The owner has a day job. :) Visit www.DigitalDinos.com
and check out DigitalDinos'
auctions on eBay.
DigitalDinos' owner also has another selling ID on eBay, BasementSale,
through which is sold many eclectic, nerdy items from his basement. It
is not a business by any stretch of the imagination. Feel free to check
out BasementSale's
occasional
auctions on eBay.

on eBay are copyrighted by DigitalDinos on the date they are posted in
perpetuity. DigitalDinos grants eBay the rights to publish DigitalDinos'
ads from
the beginning of the auction to the end and to retain the inactive auction
online for a period of up to 90 days. DigitalDinos also grants eBay
conditional permission to publish DigitalDinos' "About DigitalDinos" eBay page
so long as its contents that DigitalDinos is able to post or select remain
under DigitalDinos' control aside from that content that eBay automatically puts on the
page. The publication is conditional and may be withdrawn at any time by DigitalDinos
simply selecting not to have this page available on eBay's service. Permission
for any others to store, repost, link, "borrow," or any combination
thereof DigitalDinos' copyrighted material is prohibited without written permission.
(Click here to ask for written
permission.) The copyrights, trademarks, and "intellectual
property" of all owners for all the items that DigitalDinos sell are
respected.
These "Terms of Sale" are updated with no prior notice given and
are retroactive
at DigitalDinos' discretion. You are responsible for keeping up
with them.
And - please - for goodness sakes, don't feed the lawyers! :)
